At Tuux, we are excited to announce our collaboration with IKAL Hotel in Tulum, presenting two new cabins: Pakal and Bóveda, designed to enhance the harmonious environment of the sanctuary. IKAL Hotel is renowned for offering a place in full harmony with the spirit and in connection with nature.

Inspired by the ancestral wisdom of the region, IKAL pays homage to this culture through sustainable and locally produced products, providing an ecological and luxurious experience. Located in the exclusive Tulum area, near the Sian Ka’an archipelago, IKAL boasts one of the most beautiful beaches in the Mexican Caribbean, within a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Our vision at Tuux perfectly aligns with IKAL’s philosophy. We believe in creating spaces that naturally integrate with their surroundings, combining functionality with aesthetic appeal. Pakal and Bóveda embody this philosophy, merging bio-architecture and contemporary design with ancestral wisdom. These cabins are designed to coexist with nature, using materials that respect the landscape and the natural environment. Situated in the heart of the jungle, Pakal and Bóveda offer guests an immersive experience in nature, with one of the cabins having direct access to the sea, providing a unique connection with the Tulum coast. The design includes large windows that allow guests to enjoy the exquisite landscapes of Tulum, with one of the rooms offering a sea view.

Additionally, these cabins are designed to be easily built with minimal resources and personnel. Manufactured in the Tuux workshop, they can be replicated and installed in different locations, showcasing our expertise in woodworking. This approach ensures that the cabins can be reproduced efficiently and sustainably, bringing the same serene experience to various places.

At Tuux, we are proud to contribute to IKAL Hotel’s vision of creating a sanctuary that honors ancestral wisdom and embraces nature. These cabins are the result of our effort to design spaces in harmony with their environment, offering guests a unique experience.

In designing Pakal and Bóveda, our goal was to create sustainable spaces in harmony with their surroundings. We used local materials to minimize environmental impact, ensuring that the cabins naturally blend with the jungle and the coast. This commitment to sustainability reflects the dedication of Tuux and IKAL to preserving the natural beauty of Tulum’s landscape. Pakal and Bóveda are not just new additions to IKAL; they are sanctuaries within a sanctuary.

Each cabin is a testament to the harmonious combination of nature and architecture, where guests can connect with the spirit of Tulum and find peace in the beauty of their surroundings. The cabins are designed as spaces for tranquility and reflection, where the natural elements of the jungle and the sea are an integral part of the experience.
