Editorial GG Modular Furniture
Furniture design
Year: 2024
Design and editorial work share a common mission: to transform ideas into meaningful experiences. Aware of this synergy, Tuux and Editorial GG joined forces to create a modular furniture system that embodies the values of both organizations, marking a key moment at the Guadalajara International Book Fair 2024.
This furniture, designed to adapt to diverse settings, celebrates functionality, innovation, and sustainability. Through a woven modular design, the project incorporates renewable and recycled materials such as birch plywood, recycled polyethylene boards with wood chips, and nylon rope. In addition to reducing its environmental impact, these materials pay homage to Mexican craftsmanship by integrating manual processes that balance global technology with local labor.
The collaboration focused on creating a versatile system that meets the demands of transportation, assembly, and presentation. Its foldable design not only optimizes space but also simplifies assembly, making each module practical, functional, and adaptable to various contexts, from small spaces to large-scale areas like those at the book fair.
This project aims not only to highlight the shared values of Editorial GG and Tuux—adaptability, creativity, and environmental commitment—but also to pave new paths for design and editorial culture as essential tools for creative and cultural development.
With this initiative, Editorial GG and Tuux strengthen their joint vision: to build platforms where ideas, texts, and design can reach global audiences. We invite you to discover this furniture at FIL Guadalajara 2024, a meeting point where innovation and tradition come together to redefine the way we experience design and culture.
